Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does BCAA stand for?

BCAA stands for branch chain amino acids.

  • What does DOMS stand for?

DOMS stands for delayed onset of muscle soreness.

  • How quickly does it take to lose weight?

This depends on a number of things. The main being how dedicated you are to your training and diet. We recommend between 1-2lb a week (0.5-1kg). This is a healthy sustainable weight loss rate. However its important to know that weight fluctuates so some weeks you may lose more or you may lose less. Check out our training and nutrition sections for more detailed information.

  • What type of protein supplement should I take?

The type of protein supplement you should be using will be dictated by what it is your exactly training for. If your training to build muscle mass you would be more inclined to use a Mass gaining shake. However if your looking at losing weight you may use a diet whey shake. Each shake will hold significant protein content and calories, although these will highly differ in calories, fats and carbohydrates. Check out our nutrition section for more detailed information.

  • How many times a week should I train?

It’s hard to specify how many times a week you should train. However a general rule is 4 times a week is good/close to optimum, 5 times a week in optimum/perfect. Although depending on what your training for and your start point this could be different. For an average person 5 times a week for 45 minute to an hour that would be more than enough. However for competitive athlete or someone looking at increasing serious muscle mass this could/should not be the case and would need more time training. The same could be said for a person of an elderly age who may find 5 sessions a week too strenuous and may cause more bad than good.

You know your body better than anyone else so listen too it!
